I don't design rooms. I design the feeling you get when you walk through the door. I have always been drawn to stories.
I grew up in Jaipur, India, a city that doesn't just have beauty, it is beauty. Every morning I woke up to architecture that felt alive. The grand palaces, the intricate jharokhas, the bustling bazaars draped in colour, it was impossible to grow up there and not fall in love with the way a space can make you feel. My family ran a textile business, and from a very young age, I understood that the way something is crafted, the texture, the colour, the intention behind it carries an emotion that never fades.
That understanding became the foundation of everything I do today.
When I moved to California, I brought Jaipur with me, not just in my memories, but in my hands and in my eye. I saw the openness of California living, the light, the warmth, the way families here want their homes to breathe. And I thought this is where those two worlds could meet beautifully.
So I built MGG Designs around that meeting place.
Every project I take on begins the same way with listening. I want to understand how you live. What makes you exhale when you come home after a long day. What your grandmother's home smelled like. What your children's laughter sounds like filling a room. Because that is the material I actually design with. The furniture, the finishes, the fabrics, those are just the language I used to say it. I believe a home should carry the fingerprints of the people who live in it. Not the fingerprints of a trend, or a magazine, or a mood board. Yours. Your heritage. Your memories. Your way of moving through the world.
That is what I have dedicated MGG Designs to creating spaces that are as deeply personal as they are breathtaking. Homes where every corner holds something intentional. Where beauty and belonging are not two different things, but the very same thing.
